Elise Hester
Board Certified Behavior Analyst
Elise is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and the founder of Paper Lantern Therapies, which provides applied behavior analysis (ABA) services to children ages 2–18 with autism diagnoses or behavioral challenges. With over seven years of experience in the field of ABA, three years as a classroom teacher, and a lifetime shaped by a family member’s autism diagnosis, she brings both clinical expertise and deep personal understanding to her work.
At Paper Lantern Therapies, Elise leads a team dedicated to delivering high-quality, trauma-informed care that honors the dignity and individuality of each child. Services are offered in-home or in school settings across Livingston, Genesee, and Oakland counties, ensuring that support is accessible and integrated into the environments where children live and learn.
Her practice is rooted in collaboration—with families, educators, and other providers—to build skills that support long-term success, emotional connection, and joyful daily experiences. Whether addressing communication needs, daily routines, or behavioral challenges, Elise and her team approach each case with cultural humility, respect, and a belief in every child’s potential.
